About me

I'm a Rhode Island based UX designer keen on delivering intriguing interactions that just make sense. Maybe it's the Virgo in me, but I find organization based on observation to be quite fulfilling. Never one to shy away from asking questions, I'm all for getting my hands dirty in the process of figuring out why something works. Or why it doesn't.

Continuous curiosity and failing forward have helped me discover new opportunities. My journey started out in graphic design, then I dabbled in visual merchandising (such a great application of design, fashion and understanding your audience!). From there I moved into customer onboarding which gave me a glimpse into the wonderful world of Product. Working on a product team had me brushing elbows with UX/UI designers and let me tell you, my interest was beyond piqued.

All this to say, trying things that were further and further from my initial interest led to a full circle moment where I found myself designing once again.

Outside the workplace, you can usually find me at the beach, in the kitchen cooking with whatever is on hand or hanging out with my husband and our dog Bumi.

Experience

Google UX Professional Certificate

Completed April 2023

Product Manager, School of Motion

Actively involved in product marketing, user operations and business development. My role entailed working closely with engineers and project managers for product scaling and sustainability. I found myself engrossed in the process of coming up with new ideas and putting them to the test. Seeing conversations manifest into long awaited updates and new flows is exhilarating, this is when I knew I needed a change. Transitioning into UX fulfilled my need to discover, design and delight.

Associate Product Manager, SquadLocker

This is where I initially dipped my toes into the product world and had my first introduction to UX design. Through internal role shifting, I was able to take my natural organization and communication skills to a new level and begin developing my user-centered approach.
